Early Education and Musical Pursuits

Aaron Denney's professional journey is marked by a unique blend of creativity and technical skill. His academic background began with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business/Management from Berklee College of Music, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Berklee is renowned for its comprehensive music education and has a long list of famous alumni, including John Mayer, Quincy Jones, and Aimee Mann. During his time at Berklee from 2006 to 2010, Aaron honed his understanding of the music industry, which would later complement his technical pursuits.

Transition into Hospitality

Following his passion for music, Aaron transitioned into the hospitality industry, where he cultivated his skills in customer service and management. He served as the Head Bartender at Bowery Bay Bar in the Greater New York City Area from April 2013 to September 2015. Here, he was responsible for creating seasonal cocktail lists and maintaining social media outlets, showcasing his creative flair and ability to engage with the community.

Advancing in Bar Management

Aaron's career in hospitality continued to flourish as he took on the role of Head Bartender/Manager at Mussels 'n Sausages from December 2015 to March 2016. His responsibilities expanded to include consulting on the bar and restaurant's layout and contributing to the initial launch of their social media presence. He then progressed to the position of Bar Manager at Salt & Bone Smokehouse, where from April 2017 to October 2018, he managed a significant inventory and assisted in maintaining the establishment's media presence.

Pivoting to Web Development

In a pivotal career shift, Aaron pursued a Certificate in Web Development Immersive from General Assembly, an educational institution with a global presence known for equipping students with practical, in-demand skills. As an Engineering Fellow from December 2018 to March 2019, Aaron learned programming languages for full-stack applications and collaborated with a UX team to develop a restaurant website using Agile methodologies. General Assembly has empowered many individuals to transition into tech careers, and Aaron's journey is a testament to the transformative education they provide.

Throughout his career, Aaron has demonstrated a continuous desire to learn and adapt, moving from the world of music and hospitality to the dynamic field of web development. His story is one of passion, versatility, and lifelong learning.
